Who is This Oven For?

I recommend this oven for small commercial kitchens. While it can handle quite a few pizzas at one time, it isn’t quite big enough for catering to a large customer base. But, for such a modest machine, it sure packs a punch when it comes to flavour and performance.

Where Can I Use This Oven?

This will fit perfectly in a small restaurant kitchen. While it is designed to stay on a countertop, you can purchase a specialised floor stand. If you purchase multiples of this model, you can stack the ovens on top of each other to save space.

What Makes This Oven Special?

  • The double-decker design allows you to cook more than one food item at the same time, even if they require different temperatures. Each deck has its own temperature control knob.
  • The internal firebrick makes for a crisp and thin pizza crust every time.
  • The compact size makes this convenient for smaller spaces.

Why Should I Buy This Oven?

You can fit six 9” pizzas or two 14” pizzas on the firebrick base. The heat in the oven is well-insulated so you use energy efficiently. The firebrick base makes for a crisp, delicious crust that resembles what you’d get from using a traditional wood-fired oven.

The built-in timer is another useful feature for restaurateurs who must prepare several orders at once. Rather than having to stay glued to the oven, the timer allows you to start preparing other food without worrying about your pizza getting overcooked.

With pizza, toppings and bits of crust tend to fall off the pizza while it cooks, leaving a mess at the bottom of the oven. Clean-up is super easy with this pizza oven because of the removable crumb tray.

One downside of this pizza oven is that it takes forty minutes to heat up. This can be annoying if you forget to turn it on before starting your day and need to get set up quickly before orders start coming in.

Although, once it is heated, the pizza stone will retain heat for a long period of time and ensure that everything is cooked evenly.

Before you buy this oven, I suggest measuring the countertop you plan to set it up on. While it is a compact design, you want to make sure it works for your unique floorplan before committing to it.

Our Verdict

The Lincat Premium Range Double Deck can cook so many different types of pizza, ranging from thin crust to deep dish. Aside from pizza, it is also perfect for baking potatoes, pastries, ciabatta rolls, and more.

Another thing I love about it is that each deck has a separate thermostatic control. Because of this, you can cook several things at once. If you’re like me, you want to get the most bang for your buck. With this type of versatility, you definitely do.
