If you own a pizza oven as I do, you know that they come along with their own set of challenges in order to keep things running smoothly. One of those aspects is keeping the oven clean.
What better way than by utilising a pizza oven brush! I have had the chance to review a few different brushes to see which one is the best. Read on to see how the American Metalcraft Oven Brush measures up.
American Metalcraft has long been known in the world of foodservice, and they continue to deliver with this oven brush. With its heavy-duty and super filled 65-tuft wire brush made from brass, this one is noticeably tough and can clean any burnt scraps of crust or leftover cheese super easily from the oven.
Attached oppositely from the bristles, you’ll find a thick steel scraper that allows for thorough cleaning of any larger oven. The added fact that it is rust-proof means this scraper is perfect for your outdoor pizza oven needs.
Dimensions: 40in handle by 1 3/4in width
Weight: 1.02kg
Materials: Wood, rust-proof steel and brass bristles
Because the handle is screw-in, the American Metalcraft brush can take a rough job on easily and should last a long time. Plus, this means that should something happen to the handle or head, the other piece can be replaced, making this an even more valuable purchase.
I found the strong bristles and scraper to do a great job in my oven, whether it be moving coals or ash, poking wood, or cleaning up after the pizzas had been cooked. I had no problems with the wood of this brush catching fire even while using it with a hot oven – a definite plus that makes this brush a versatile tool to have in a pizza-cooking arsenal.
Even though this American Metalcraft Oven Brush comes with a bit higher price tag than other choices (see more of my reviews), I would highly recommend it as a solid, reliable pizza oven tool to add to anyone’s collection. You’ll love how simple it is to use in many ways, while not worrying about the quality being cheap.
