I wanted to provide everyone with an unbiased La Hacienda Firebox BBQ review, which is why I took a look at other reviews to see what they had to say. For the most part, we agreed on the main advantages and disadvantages. As a foodie and pizza lover, I had to try this BBQ pizza oven out for myself.
La Hacienda is a well-known supplier that offers quality products to its customers, so I set my expectations pretty high. When comparing this oven to others on the market I found it to be relatively on the cheap side. It’s great for individuals on a budget who want to add a neat addition to their barbeques.
This is great for outdoor use. It adds a nice addition to your outdoor BBQ experience working on either gas or charcoal barbeques. Along with pizza, you can bake veggies, bread, meat, and fish. If you’re hosting a BBQ, this is a great way to switch things up a little and throw some pizza into the mix.
This oven arrived at my doorstep fully assembled making it super easy to start baking right away! It’s a great option for individuals who don’t like putting things together, however, it will not work by itself. It needs to be attached to a barbeque.
The Firebox will quickly reach temperatures up to 400°. It usually takes about 10 minutes for it to reach the full temperature. A downside of only being able to use it with the BBQ is that it takes more energy to heat up. Most pizza ovens heat up in a matter of minutes – 5 at most. This one takes just a little bit longer.
At a glance, La Hacienda Firebox is very simple without much to look at. Some people like the simplicity, but I personally think it lacks in the appearance department. I want something that looks modern and elegant in my garden and this product just doesn’t do that.
That being said, it cooks wonderfully. After it’s heated, the stainless steel does a nice job insulating heat. It has a double skin insulated cavity that distributes the heat evenly around the pizza. This makes sure it’s crispy at the base and well cooked all around. This can be difficult to achieve with wood burning pizza ovens. I’m sure your guests will be impressed with that Italian taste this Firebox Pizza Oven offers.
