This family-run business crafts a relaxed environment that evolves throughout the day. Pop in on an early morning from some coffee and cake, or stop by on your afternoon stroll for some pizza and wine. Why Did We Choose Cafe Roma In Leicester?
One of the best features that Cafe Roma offers is classic Italian cuisine that has survived the plethora of pizza chains that have popped up over the years. With so many pizza spots opening left and right, it says something great that Cafe Roma has survived and thrived all of these years. After all, if there wasn’t something tasty to offer, it would have been gone quite some time ago.
This spot evolves into many things, so you can always expect a bit of a surprise in terms of the environment, cuisine, and more. It’s not every day that you get a piece of Italy in the city of Leicester, so we were blown away at the authenticity of this tasty spot.
What’s on Offer at Cafe Roma
The menu is full of tasty and unique flavours that are begging you to try them. As we mentioned, the venue changed throughout the day, and so does the menu. Are you popping in for breakfast, grabbing a quiet bite on lunch, or dining with friends for dinner? To give a taste of each option, here are some of our favourites from every time of the day:
Start your morning with a breakfast baguette. Choose between bacon, bacon and mushroom, or bacon and tomato. Pair this with a cafe latte, flat white, or Coretta to wake you up for all the day is going to spring at you.
If you are popping in for lunch, try one of the many pizza options such as classics as well as some specialities such as the Capricciosa made up of mozzarella, tomato, mushrooms, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and boiled egg or the Primavera featuring tomato sauce, char-grilled courgette, sliced fresh tomato, and basil oil. Talk about a midday pick me up. You can also dine on the many house specials such as stuffed peppers filled with mixed roasted vegetables, tomato, and mozzarella cheese baked to perfection.
When it comes to dinner, there is so much to dive into over great conversation with friends and family. Try a main course such as Chicken Cacciatore roasted with rosemary, garlic, slow-cooked onions, peppers, olives, and a splash of white wine or Scaloppine al Limone which is an escalope of pork doused in a white wine, sage, and lemon sauce.
Our Verdict
When it comes to the finer side of pizza, you cannot go wrong by trying Peter Pizzeria. There is so much to enjoy with delicious food, culture and history, and a welcoming environment that will have you coming back time and time again. Lucky for all of us, there is enough on the menu to return plenty of times without having to repeat even one dish! Challenge accepted.
